Meet our collaboration with Chen & Kai, industrial design duo from New York.
The Chen and Kai Arm Vase is based on the form of an amphora featuring two arms as handles. Ceramic. We made a mini version of our Creatura Bag for it to wear. The tiny version is made with the same Italian faux fur the real bag is constructed of, using the remainder fabric from the full sized fall '23 Blue Yak Creatura Bag. Edition of 50.

A Note From Dani:
The Creatura bag was something that I birthed in 2021 while missing rave culture and having soft friends around. I had just transplanted to LA from NYC and wanted to be able to bring around a fuzzy friend while not having to commit to a pet. I also wanted things around me that would make me laugh, from there the Creatura bag came into existence. It's made from very long faux yak hair material that is sourced from Italy, and then sewn at our small batch production in New York. For our collaboration with Chen and Kai, we wanted to make a shrunken version to spec that would be easily worn by the Arm Vase. The tiny version features a miniature magnet closure, which is congruent with the big magnet closure on the full sized bag. It also features the same moire lining as the human size version, and a tiny true to scale Clyde hangtag. Hide something tiny and precious in there, just like I do in my big version.
A Note From Chen and Kai:
We were working with the factory that produced our Stacking Planters, which we had designed to be easily removed from a slip casting mold. When we visited the factory we realized that they were specialists in producing figurines and even though we had good intentions with our planter design, they weren't suited to make it so well. We decided to make a design which matched their special skills. The limbs we used are sculpted to the same scale as a Barbie (1:6 scale) which gave us the idea to make miniatures with our friends with fashion brands.
